Which part of the home is the most important in terms of energy flow?

In Feng Shui, the most important place in a home is the entrance!

■ Why the Entrance Matters

The entrance is where Qi (energy) enters the home. Both good and bad energy flow in through this area first, so the condition of your entrance greatly influences the overall energy of your home.

■ Tips to Boost Good Energy at the Entrance

1. Keep it clean, bright, and pleasantly scented

  • These are the three essentials of a lucky entrance.

  • A dark, dirty entrance attracts negative energy. Sweep and mop regularly, especially around the door and floor area.

2. Avoid leaving shoes out

  • Shoes left out scatter Qi and can negatively affect family harmony and relationships.

  • Try to limit visible shoes to just one pair if needed.

3. Be mindful of mirror placement

  • A mirror directly facing the door reflects good energy back outside – not ideal.

  • A mirror on the side wall helps spread the energy inward – much better.

4. Display fresh flowers or houseplants

  • Living plants bring in vibrant, positive energy and purify the space.

  • Small green plants or white flowers are especially recommended.

5. Use a doormat to catch and hold good energy

  • The doormat acts like a container that captures incoming Qi.

  • Natural materials like cotton, linen, or wool are best, and light colors are considered lucky.

■ Another Key Area: The Kitchen

Aside from the entrance, the kitchen is also a very important place in Feng Shui. It strongly influences both your wealthand health.Think of it this way: the entrance welcomes energy in, and the kitchen determines how that energy is used.
